These panoramic images of Sardinian landscapes exploit a technical flaw of pinhole cameras, which tend to create an image darker on the edges and lighter in the center. In most traditional pinhole images, the subject at the center is correctly exposed, and the surrounding area is dim.

Instead, these photos show a normal image on the edges, which fades to a blinding white in the middle.
